Katy Secombe

Founder & Head of Acting

Katy studied at Manchester University and Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. She was Head Of Acting at Performance Preparation Academy in Guildford for two years and continues to teach and direct  across the Musical Theatre and Acting programmes there.  She teaches audition technique at Peer Productions in Woking and has taught for Ruthie Henshall’s CAST academy in Bury St Edmunds. 

 

Katy believes in the transformative power of Drama in schools and has worked extensively in Theatre In Education, performing in “Twelfth Night” for the National Theatre which went to The Lincoln Centre in New York.She  co- founded Pandora’s Box and Rhapsodia Theatre companies that toured schools with “Burglar Bill”, “Katy And The Nurgla”, “Tales Of The Greek Myths And Legends”and “World War One- 1914”. 

 

Katy has also worked as a Globe Education Practitioner and Storyteller at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre where she has run workshops and adapted Shakespeare for young audiences.
